Local Vibes surfaces news and events around your business across two tabs — Updates and Events — with a location search.
Overview
It auto-detects your business city; you can search any other city. Keyword sets come from your industry profile (with sensible defaults).
Tabs in detail
Location search
City input + Search; Reset to [your city] appears when changed; Enter triggers search.
Updates (news)
Three collapsible, color-coded categories: Local Business, Industry Specific, Economic Context. Each article card shows title (links to source), date, snippet, source, and matching keywords. Per-category Refresh and count; ~1-hour cache.
Events
Categories: Fairs & Festivals, Sports Events, Music Events, Women Events. Event cards show title (links out), date, category, source, and location. Per-category Refresh and count.
Step by step: explore your market
- The Updates tab loads automatically — scan the three categories.
- Switch to Events for upcoming local events by type.
- Type another city and Search to research a different area.
Tips & best practices
- Check weekly for events you can sponsor or tie promotions to.
- Configure your industry profile for more relevant keyword filtering.
- Use the location search to scope out adjacent or expansion markets.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Fix |
|---|---|
| No articles or events | Verify the city spelling; smaller cities may have limited data |
| Industry-profile warning | Your org's industry profile isn't set — configure it in Settings |
| Empty on first load | Enter your city in the location bar before browsing the tabs |
