Ads & Sales (Google Ads Insights) connects your Google Ads account and shows performance across two tabs — Weekly Reports and Performance Comparison — under an account selector.

Google Ads Insights

Overview

It blends Google Ads metrics with your retail data (store revenue, orders, door traffic) so you can see what advertising actually returns.

Tabs in detail

Account selector

Choose among connected Google Ads accounts (name, currency, timezone); Refresh accounts; Disconnect.

Weekly Reports

  • Summary cards: total Clicks, Impressions, Cost, Conversions, avg CTR, avg CPC, Conversion Rate.
  • Week-over-week trends (clicks, cost, conversions, impressions) with up/down indicators.
  • Weekly table also showing Store Revenue, Retail Orders, Door Traffic, and Total Items alongside the ad metrics.
  • Date-range selector (last 7/14/30 days, this/last month).

Performance Comparison

  • Pick two periods and a metric; side-by-side metric cards and a comparison table with % change.
  • Includes ad metrics plus store revenue, retail orders, door traffic, and ROI.

Connection states

"Not connected" → Connect Google Ads; connected → account selector + Refresh + Disconnect.

Step by step: review ad performance

  1. Connect/authorize, then pick an account.
  2. On Weekly Reports, read revenue-vs-spend and ROAS/ROI.
  3. Switch to Performance Comparison to compare two periods or campaigns.

Tips & best practices

  • ROAS = revenue ÷ ad spend; above 1.0 means the ads are profitable.
  • Use Performance Comparison to A/B campaigns or compare month over month.
  • Click Refresh after switching accounts; there's no auto-polling.
