Products
The Products Catalog is the master list of everything you sell. It shows live stock and pricing and is organized into four tabs: Products, Add Product, Bulk Import, and Pricing Rules.

Overview
Summary cards show Total Products, Total Value (retail with cost shown), Categories, and Recently Added. The Products tab lists every product with stock aggregated across locations; the other tabs let you add one product, import many, or set up automatic pricing rules.
Tabs in detail
Products
- Search across name, code, SKU, brand, category, tags, and description.
- Filters: Category, Status (Active / Inactive / Discontinued), Stock Status (In / Low / Out).
- View modes: Standard (table) and Groupable.
- Per-product inventory: total available, stock-status badge, location count, tracked-items and bulk counts, reserved.
- Row → product detail modal for full view/edit.
- Refresh (reloads stock) and Export (CSV with pricing, inventory, dates). 20 per page.
Add Product
A guided form in steps:
- Basic Information — Name (required), Description, SKU, Barcode, Model, Category and Brand (with inline "create new").
- Pricing — Cost Price, Retail Price, MSRP.
- Physical Properties — Weight, Dimensions.
- Configuration — Has Options (variants), Track Inventory, Active, Archived.
- Media — Primary image URL + additional images.
- Variants (if Has Options) — define attributes (Size, Color…) and values; variants auto-generate with per-variant SKU suffix, price/cost adjustment, and default flag.
- Vendors — link vendors with their SKU, cost, minimum quantity, lead time, and a primary flag.
Duplicate SKU/barcode is blocked (case-insensitive). On save you get a confirmation and land back on Products.
Bulk Import
- Download a Simple (required fields) or Comprehensive CSV template.
- Required columns: name, sku, model, category, msrp, brand. Recommended: barcode, costPrice, retailPrice, productType, weight, dimensions, imageUrl, tags, description.
- Upload → per-row validation (missing fields, bad numbers, duplicate SKU/barcode).
- Per-row action: Create, Merge (match existing by SKU/barcode), or Skip.
- Results summary: created / merged / skipped / failed counts.
Pricing Rules
- Summary cards: Total / Active / Inactive rules, applications, total & average discount.
- A rule has: Name, Type (Product-specific, Category-wide, Tiered, Volume, Seasonal…), Adjustment Type (Percentage / Fixed amount), value, min/max price & quantity, priority, effective date range, target product/category IDs, and optional approval threshold.
- Actions: Create, Edit, Delete, Activate/Deactivate. List or grid view.
Step by step: add a product
- Open the Add Product tab.
- Fill Basic Information (Name is required) and Pricing.
- Toggle Track Inventory; enable Has Options if it has variants.
- (Optional) add media, variants, and vendors.
- Click Create Product.
Tips & best practices
- Keep SKUs and barcodes unique — the catalog enforces it and uses them for labels and scanning.
- Use Bulk Import for large catalogs; export first to get the column format.
- Mark items Inactive instead of deleting to hide them from sale while keeping history.
- Pricing Rules apply automatically at checkout — set conditions (min quantity, dates) to target them.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Fix |

| "No products found" | Empty catalog — click Add your first product |
| Duplicate SKU/barcode error | Edit the existing product or use a unique identifier |
| Stock not updating | Click Refresh; confirm inventory exists in Inventory → Management |
| Import row failed | Read the row error (date/number/required field) and re-upload |
