Management
Inventory Management is where you find, move, and verify stock across three tabs — Search, Transfer, and Count.

Overview
Locate inventory anywhere, move quantities between locations with a reason, and run count sessions that reconcile system vs. actual.
Tabs in detail
Search
- Filters: free-text (name/SKU/serial), location, category, status, and a min/max available-quantity range.
- Results columns: product, location, category, available/on-hand/reserved/committed, status, unit cost.
- Clear filters, refresh, export; row → Product Details modal.
Transfer
- Fields: From Location, To Location, transfer notes.
- Add products (search), set transfer quantity per item (capped at available), remove rows.
- Live transfer summary: item count, total quantity, estimated value at cost.
- Create Transfer updates both locations' stock; a Recent Transfers list shows history (click for details).
Count
- Summary cards: Active Sessions, Items Counted Today, Discrepancies, Count Accuracy %.
- Start New Count Session (name, description, countable-items scope).
- In a session: searchable item table with System Qty vs. Counted Qty (type or scan), live variance, per-item condition and notes; +/- buttons; scan mode.
- Finish with Pause, Complete (applies corrections), or Discard; export a count report. History table of past sessions.
Step by step: transfer stock
- Open Transfer; choose From and To locations.
- Add products and set transfer quantities.
- Pick a reason / add notes, then Create Transfer.
Step by step: run a count
- Open Count and Start New Count Session for a location.
- Enter counted quantities (scan or type); review variances.
- Complete the session to post adjustments.
Tips & best practices
- Use Search to confirm availability before committing a sale.
- Always add a transfer reason/note — it's your audit trail.
- Count high-value or fast-moving categories regularly; the variance view flags what to investigate.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Fix |
|---|---|
| Location missing from Transfer | Confirm it's active in Settings |
| High count variances | Check for unrecorded damage, theft, or recent transfers |
| Transfer fails | Verify the destination can receive that product type |
