Snapshot

The Inventory Status Overview is your live stock dashboard, split into three tabs — Inventory Combined, Bulk Items, and Trackable Items — each with its own metric cards.

Inventory Status Overview

Overview

Filter by location, search by name/SKU/serial, and hide out-of-stock products. Each tab reframes the same stock with metrics suited to it. Click a row for full details.

Tabs in detail

Inventory Combined

  • Metrics: Products, Available Qty, Trackable Items, Total Value (at cost, with retail shown), Low Stock.
  • Shows merged stock = tracked items + bulk quantity, on one row per product. The Mixed-Mode Inventory Breakdown table explains Available = Tracked + Bulk and is paginated at 50 rows per page ("Showing X–Y of Z", with Prev/Next).
  • Formula validation card — green "Formula Validates Correctly" when Available = Tracked + Bulk balances across the catalog; otherwise a yellow "Formula Validation Alert" shows the discrepancy amount and possible causes (data-sync issues, product/item associations, or tracked items linked to a different product variant).
  • Physical stock balances card — checks the invariant on-hand = available + committed. When it holds you see "Physical Stock Balances"; when it doesn't it turns red as "Stock Imbalance — N products", listing the offending SKUs with their on-hand vs. available + committed delta and advising a fix via Reset Inventory or an inventory count.

Bulk Items

  • Metrics: Bulk Products, Bulk Quantity, Tracked Items, Bulk Value, Mixed Products.
  • Filtered to products that have non-serialized (bulk) quantity; shows bulk qty separately.

Trackable Items

  • Metrics: Trackable Items, Avg Item Value, Total Items Value, NEW Condition, Other Conditions.
  • Lists individual serialized items: serial #, batch, barcode, status, location, condition, grade, cost & retail.

Detail modals

  • Product Details — levels (available / on-hand / reserved / committed), min/max/reorder points, financials (avg cost, last cost, retail), tracked items table, last movement.
  • Item Details — serial/batch/barcode, condition & grade, item vs. product cost/retail, created/updated timeline.

Reset Inventory (destructive)

A red Reset Inventory button sits in the page actions. After a confirmation dialog, it sets on-hand, available, reserved, and committed to 0 for every product across your organization's active locations and deletes trackable (serialized) items — existing reservations and commitments are cleared. It affects reports and any workflow that relies on current stock, so use it only to start over. Afterward, redo Receiving to restore correct quantities.

Step by step: inspect stock

  1. Pick a location (or All Locations) and search for a product or SKU.
  2. Switch tabs (Combined / Bulk / Trackable) for the right view.
  3. Click a row to open its details.

Tips & best practices

  • Trust Available — it equals tracked items plus bulk quantity.
  • Use the location filter to isolate a warehouse before counting.
  • A $0 value with stock usually means missing cost history; set a cost on the product.

Troubleshooting

IssueFix
No data loadsRefresh and confirm you have inventory permissions
Low-stock alerts missingSet minimum levels in Inventory → Management
Value looks lowSome products lack cost; assign costs to fix valuation
Totals look off for a large catalogAn amber banner ("Showing the first batch of records…") means only the first batch loaded — the Products / Available Qty / Total Value / Low Stock totals may be incomplete; narrow by location or search for exact numbers
