Competitors Monitor
Monitor nearby competitors, discover new entrants, and keep tabs on their campaigns from one workspace.
Overview
Competitors Monitor brings discovery and intelligence into one place:
- Search for local competitors and add them to tracking with one click.
- Review a unified list of tracked competitors with notes and status.
- Jump into Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and Google Trends insights for each competitor.
- Collaborate by updating shared notes and keeping the list current.
Tabs
- Search & Discover: Find competitors through Google Maps business search. Filter by industry and location, see ratings, and add them to monitoring.
- Google Ads Intelligence: View tracked competitors, open their ads transparency pages, and document observations.
- Facebook Ads Intelligence: Launch the Facebook Ads Library for each competitor and store social campaign notes.
- Google Search Trends: Track search interest for competitors in your region and compare over time.
How to use it
- Start in Search & Discover. Enter a business type (e.g., “roofing companies”) and optionally a city. Review the business cards with ratings, contact info, and status indicators (Already Tracked vs Monitor).
- Select Monitor on any result to add it to your intelligence list. Added competitors automatically appear in the other tabs.
- Switch to Google Ads Intelligence to organize competitors, open their sites, launch Google Ads Transparency, and update notes. Use Add Competitor if you want to input one manually.
- Use Facebook Ads Intelligence to open the Facebook Ads Library for each competitor and record messaging or creative takeaways.
- Open Google Search Trends to jump into Google Trends with your competitor’s brand name prefilled, using your local region when available.
Tips
- Refresh the Search tab regularly to uncover new entrants in your area.
- Use notes fields to capture pricing changes, promotions, and messaging angles.
- Add keywords to each competitor so your team understands what they target.
- Monitor both ads tabs weekly to spot shifts in spend or creative direction.
Troubleshooting
- Search returns no results: broaden the business type, include nearby cities, or check your spelling.
- Monitor button disabled: the competitor is already on your list (look for the Tracked badge).
- Cannot open external links: browser pop-up blockers may prevent opening Google or Facebook tools; allow pop-ups for this site.
- Competitor list empty: start by adding competitors through Search & Discover or the Add Competitor dialog.
