Assets & Liabilities Report
Balance sheet snapshot of assets, liabilities, and equity, with month-by-month comparisons.
Page layout
- Month selector: choose the month to view (defaults to the current month). A CSV export button downloads the statement.
- Key metrics: total assets, total liabilities, shareholders’ equity, debt-to-equity ratio.
- Balance sheet table: hierarchical view of current vs. prior period vs. prior year. Sections are collapsible (Current Assets, Non-Current Assets, Current Liabilities, Long-term Liabilities, Shareholders Equity). Totals reconcile automatically.
How to use it
- Pick the month you want to analyze. The report automatically compares against the prior month-to-date and same period last year.
- Review the metric cards to understand overall position and leverage.
- Expand or collapse sections to focus on categories (e.g., cash, inventory, loans, retained earnings).
- Export to CSV when you need to share with lenders, investors, or accountants.
Tips
- Update asset depreciation and loan amortization settings in the Assets & Liabilities workspace so balances stay accurate.
- Use this report alongside Profit & Loss to confirm profit flows into equity.
- Check debt-to-equity before major financing conversations.
Troubleshooting
- No balances loaded: ensure ledger accounts and journal entries exist for the selected period.
- Export missing lines: expand all sections before exporting—only visible rows are included.
- Authentication error: refresh the page or sign back in; the report calls secure GraphQL endpoints.
